Hien Nhan
Street Photography
I was born in Saigon, now known as Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in the late 1960s. My photography nickname is Hien Nhan, under which I have dedicated myself to capturing the essence of everyday life and the unique moments that define the human experience.
My current project focuses on street photography in the vibrant and historic Cholon district of Saigon. Through this work, I aim to document the rich tapestry of culture, tradition, and daily interactions that characterize this bustling area. Each photograph is a window into the lives of the people, reflecting their stories, struggles, and triumphs.
My winning awards would not only be a significant personal achievement but also a profound opportunity to amplify these narratives on a global stage. It would enable me to share the diverse and intricate cultural landscapes of Vietnam, and beyond, with a wider audience. Through my lens, I hope to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the rich cultural heritage and the shared humanity that connects us all.
